Expressive Ceramics Sessions — Client Information & Agreement
Thank you for your interest in Expressive Ceramics. These sessions offer space for creative exploration, rest, and reconnection through working with clay. This document outlines what to expect, how we’ll work together, and some important agreements that support your safety.
About the Sessions
These are one-to-one creative wellbeing sessions, held in my private studio in Lower Clapton, London.
Each session is non-directive and shaped around your pace and needs — there’s no pressure to perform or produce.
While I bring my training and experience as an artist and art therapist into the space, these sessions are not formal therapy.
You do not need any experience with ceramics or art-making.
Confidentiality & Emotional Boundaries
What you share in sessions is treated with care and confidentiality.
The only time I would break confidentiality is if I were concerned about your safety or someone else’s, and even then, I would aim to speak to you first.
While emotional expression is welcome, this space is not intended for crisis support or deep psychological processing. If more structured therapy is needed, I’m happy to refer you to appropriate services.
Session Details
Sessions take place in my private studio at Tilia Road Studios, E5 8JB, walking distance from Hackney Central and Clapton Overground stations.
Available session lengths:
90 minutes - £150
2.5 hours - £250
4 sessions x 90 minutes each - £550
Sessions include materials, light refreshments, and the firing of one ceramic piece.
Additional pieces can be fired for an extra fee of £10–15 each.
Fired pieces are usually ready for collection within 3 weeks, dependant on drying times. I’ll let you know when yours is ready.
Accessibility
My studio is on the first floor without lift access. Unfortunately, there is no wheelchair access.
Payment & Cancellation
Full payment is required to confirm your booking. Payment by bank transfer preferred, but payment link can be organised if need be.
Cancellations with at least 48 hours’ notice can be rescheduled at no cost.
Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice are non-refundable, unless in exceptional circumstances.
If you arrive late, the session will still end at the scheduled time.
Before You Come
Please wear clothes you’re happy to get messy (an apron will be provided).
I recommend having short nails as this makes it easier to work with clay. If this is not possible for you, that’s ok too.
You’re welcome to bring a notebook or small object of meaning if that helps you settle into the space.
If you have any access needs or health concerns, feel free to share them in advance so I can support you appropriately.
Staying in Touch
You’re welcome to email me after your session with reflections or questions, but please note I do not offer ongoing emotional support between sessions.
If we work together regularly, we can agree on a rhythm and communication style that supports your needs and mine.
Agreement
By signing up for a session, you confirm that:
You understand this is a creative wellbeing experience, not a therapy session
You agree to the terms around confidentiality, payment, and cancellations
You acknowledge that this is a supportive space for creativity and reflection, and that your emotional and physical wellbeing remains your own responsibility
If you have any questions at all before we begin, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Warmly,
Anastassia Zamaraeva
